Raja Ampat Marine Park entry permit fees are directed to the operational costs of Raja Ampat’s five Marine Protected Areas and to community conservation and development programs.

Collection of the funds is the responsibility of a new organisation created to ensure the transparent disbursement of funds, the local government Department of Oceans and Fisheries.

The fees have been doubled in order to provide an income stream that will account for a larger percentage of the true marine protected area operational costs and community development programs.

A Raja Ampat National Park entry permit PIN (or tag) must be purchased by all visitors to Raja Ampat. Legislation provides for a pretty hefty fine if the authorities find you in the park without one.

Is this paid at the hotel? Must this be paid in local currency? OR is USD acceptable payment?
    Thanks!

I find alot of liveaboards are charging alot more than that for the park fee, any idea why this is? can you point me to the website of the authority that sets this fee?

    Thanks

Hi Jason, So far that we knows, there is no website of this organization. Most of live-aboard included PORT and PARK FEE, not just only park fee. May be you need to verify with the live-aboard directly.
